DESCRIPTION:Join Natural Satellite at Being Collective for “Sound Bath & Songs” – an immersive full-body listening experience encouraging emotional release and connection \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJoin us for this extra-special LIVE MUSIC gathering! \n\n\n\nThe weight of the world is especially heavy right now for all of us. We want to use this time to bring our community together to release negative emotions while promoting peace and renewal of the spirit.  \n\n\n\nThe evening will start and end with an improvised sound bath. The cello’s lush strings\, the saxophone’s warm\, breathy tones\, and the human voice’s ability to evoke emotion will harmonize together\, creating a truly immersive and meditative environment. Following this immersive sound journey\, the evening will evolve into a live performance of original music from Natural Satellite. With the cello\, voice\, and saxophone at the heart of their unique sound\, this performance blends intricate melodies\, atmospheric harmonies\, and raw emotion. \n\n\n\nNatural Satellite Bio\n\n\n\nCello and saxophone seem like an unlikely pair for an indie jazz duo\, but when you hear Natural Satellite\, you’ll consider the two instruments to be meant for each other. Karli and Jason Reisdorf have been performing and captivating audiences with their unique sound for nearly a decade. The couple met in 2011 while attending the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point and have since built a family and a music career centered around love\, exploration\, and education. \n\n\n\nThe WAMI-nominated duo layers finger-style cello with catchy melodies\, harmonies\, and improvised saxophone to create a sound comparable to groups such as Morphine and Portis Head. Jason’s saxophone weaves in and out of verses harmonizing beautifully with Karli’s angelic voice. Their lyrics focus on self-love\, reflection\, and growth\, leaving listeners feeling uplifted. When watching Natural Satellite perform\, you can feel the chemistry between the two and the unique musical bond they share. \n\n\n\nWhat is Being Collective?\n\n\n\nBeing Collective\, located in the heart of Downtown Appleton\, is a Center for Community\, Connection\, and WellBEing. In addition to regular classes and gatherings\, held in our Gathering Hall\,  Being Collective is a unique and beautiful\, warm and welcoming space that hosts special events like this one with Natural Satellite. The space has a peaceful\, easy vibe and has amazing chapel-like acoustics. Being Collective is a SHOES OFF (bring socks or slippers if you prefer) and SOBER community gathering space.  \n\n\n\nWhat to Bring\n\n\n\n\nwater bottle (non-alcoholic beverages and water will be available for purchase)\n\n\n\ncash / credit card for Natural Satellite merch – available after the show\n\n\n\nsocks / slippers (if needed)\n\n\n\nyour favorite cushion\, camp chair\, or similar (we have 24 folding chairs\, first come\, first choice + floor seating with some cushions)\n\n\n\n\nFrom Savi\, Being Collective Co-Founder\n\n\n\nWe are beyond excited to be bringing Karli and Jason of Natural Satellite to the Center! We have been fans of theirs for years and love catching their shows at Mile of Music! Last summer I finally introduced myself to Karli after their amazing set at Art in the Park and we excitedly started dreaming into this event that is now happening!
