Transcending & melding genres\, this music journey weaves together layers & levels of all different styles\, tempos & vibes that move you to be moved in all the ways. Encompassing everything from ancient tribal feels to modern electronic dance beats\, all the frequencies are powerfully felt. \n\n\n\nBreathe\, listen\, bounce\, move how you want\, dance if you want\, or just sit back and immerse in the sound and energy of freedom – whatever that means for you. Feel free to dance\, stretch\, or rest as you please\, as long as everyone’s space and experience is respected. \n\n\n\nCome and move and BE as you are! \n\n\n\nThis is YOUR dance — your journey of self-expression\, transformation\, and LIBERATION in the company of others BEing and doing the same. No experience necessary.  \n\n\n\nThis is a sober event. \n\n\n\nWe will leave our phones in the coat room and reserve our conversations for off the dance floor (Commons Area for conversation is provided). \n\n\n\nThe Guidelines — \n\n\n\nDance is done barefoot/socks — no shoes — ground\, connect\, feel \n\n\n\nDance without words — inward journey\, meditative experience \n\n\n\nDance as we are — be yourself; with respect for ourselves\, the space\, and each other — no expectations\, no judgements\, no shoulds — dance as we are \n\n\n\nNo drugs/alcohol\, no phones\, camera\, video \n\n\n\nThe Space — \n\n\n\nBeing Collective is a space dedicated to Community\, Connection\, and WellBEing. \n\n\n\nThe energy is warm\, inviting\, welcoming\, peaceful\, generating\, healing\, and elevating. \n\n\n\nWHAT IS ECSTATIC DANCE —  \n\n\n\nIn the simplest terms\, ecstatic dance is a free-form dance experience created to inspire personal authenticity and foster a healthy sense of belonging\, while holding space for personal and community transformation. The music is intentionally crafted for the experience\, and may include original\, live\, and curated sounds. \n\n\n\nThis is the dance you dance when nobody is watching — allowing your body to move freely without judgments or concerns for the “grace” or beauty of the dance\, just letting yourself go — connect and flow. \n\n\n\nEcstatic dance is a self-led inner/outer journey\, an authentic moving meditation where presence and ecstasy can be experienced.
